Megan Lyons Lane launches new TN lobbying firm

News release from Lane Government Operations

NASHVILLE — An established lobbyist has decided to leave a prominent government relations firm to launch a new venture. Megan Lyons Lane announced today the launch of Lane Government Relations, a boutique firm focused on lobbying, policy guidance and association management.

“Success for my clients has always required me to look beyond traditional lobbying. Technology is quickly evolving government relations into an industry that requires a diverse set of modern solutions,” said founder Megan Lane. “Lane Government Relations was formed for that purpose, and our approach will help our clients influence policy and improve legislative awareness.”

Prior to founding Lane Government Relations, Megan served as Senior Associate for JohnsonPoss Government Relations for ten years, where she led effective lobbying efforts for global corporations, trade associations and non-profit organizations alike. Before joining JohnsonPoss, Megan served in roles with Tennessee Senate Speaker Pro Tempore and U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander in Washington D.C.
“Megan is trusted, respected and well-liked by everyone working on Capitol Hill. I value her perspective and approach, and I will continue to collaborate with her on a handful of clients,” JohnsonPoss partner Nathan Poss said. “Since 2007, our firm—as well as our clients—have benefited significantly from Megan’s contributions. We know she’ll bring the same enthusiasm and successes to her own firm.”

As a lifelong Nashvillian and Belmont University alumnus, Lane also serves on the Tennessee Lobbyist Association Board of Directors. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Easter Seals Tennessee and on the YWCA of Nashville Junior Board. She resides in Nashville with her husband and daughter.
